has studied Philosophy (MA) and Protestant Theology (PhD). From 1998 to 2002 he was professor for Systematic Theology at the University of Neuchâtel (CH). Since 2002 he is professor for Systematic theology and ethics at the Friedrich-Schiller-University in Jena. He directed the Institut romand d’éthique (IRE) in Geneva and the Institut romand d’herméneutique (IRHS) in Neuchâtel. His main interests are Christian Ethics and the ethics of the world religions, media ethics and questions of method in theology.
