is Lecturer in Practical Theology, Director of the Centre for Theology and Public Issues and Manager MTh Ministry at the School of Divinity at the University of Edinburgh. She studied at the Roehampton College, University of Surrey, at Heythrop College, University of London and the Trinity College Dublin. Cleggs PhD-thesis in philosophy was named Theological Anthropology: Personhood, Growth towards Wholeness and Reconciliation. Since the publication of Moving Beyond Sectarianism in 2001, which examined the relationship of religion, conflict and reconciliation in Northern Ireland her research has developed gradually in the direction of practical theologies of reconciliation especially with interfaith elements. Further important publications are: Faithful Citizens (Spring 2008); Moving Beyond Sectarianism: Religion, Conflict, and Reconciliation in Northern Ireland (together with J.Liechty, Dublin 2001);Embracing a Threatening Other: Identity and Reconciliation in Northern Ireland (2007); Between Embrace and Exclusion (Aldershot 2006); From Violence to Peace: Reflections from Northern Ireland (Sheffield 2004).
