Carla Danani (ITA)

was obtained her PhD in Philosophy from the University of Perugia. She studied and did research work at the Universities of Zürich and Heidelberg (with Prof. Gadamer), and carried out research at the Department of Philosophy and Human Sciences at the University of Macerata, where she is now Professor of Political Philosophy. She is a member of the editorial staff of the review Filosofia e Teologia and of the series
Research in Contemporary Religion (Vandenhoeck & Ruprecht). She has devoted herself to Hermeneutic, Moral and Political Philosophy and published La questione dell’oggettività nell’ermeneutica di Emilio Betti, Vita e Pensiero (Milano 1998) (this book was awarded with the Premio Filosofico Castiglioncello Giovani 1999); Gadamer e l’amicizia degli antichi, Vita e Pensiero (Milano 2003) and some essays in collected books and reviews like Untergang oder Verwandlung des Subjekts?(Tübingen 2005) and Oltre la cittadinanza: abitare la Terra in corso di stampa in “Filosofia e Teologia”– atti del convengo “L’Utopia” (Roma 4-5 aprile 2008). At the moment her studies concern the issues of human society, with special reference to the relation with
space-territory and the strategies to implement a decision-making process through social participation.
